Primulina Gui Yan

Primulina ‘Gui Yan’, 2021, IR211632, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Dayan Tao, Jinye Zhou, Shikai Guan; Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanning, China. (P. guigangensis x P. spadiciformis). Cross made 08.20.2019, seeds planted 09.29.2019, first flowering 07.01.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 8.3-11.4 cm long, 3.1-5.4 cm wide, 5.0-7.8 cm petiole, elliptic with acute tip, serrate margin, hairy. Calyx split, light green, 0.7-1.1 cm. Length of the pedicel 1.0-1.2 cm, 5-6 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4.0-4.3 cm long x 1.2-1.4 cm wide, purplish. The plants require bright indirect light. The medium must be loose, not heavy. Avoid waterlogging.
