Primulina Lotus Fairy

Primulina ‘Lotus Fairy’, 2018, IR181412, hybridized by Shu Li, Yi-Gang Wei, Fang Wen; Guangxi, China. (P. minutimaculata x P. pseudoeburnea). Cross made 01.13.2015, seeds planted 04.10.2015, first flowered 05.14.2017. Sterile. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves dark green, 9-18 cm long, 2.5-4 cm wide with 2-3 cm petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, entire margin and acute tip, hairy. Calyx spit, green, 0.4-0.6 cm long. Pedicel 1.5-2 cm long with 6-10 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4-6 cm long x 1.5-2.3 cm wide, purple. This variety is shade-tolerant, does its best in a bright scattered light, prefers moist well drained substrate, can’t take temperature below freezing.
