Kohleria Bud’s Little Gollum

Kohleria ‘Bud’s Little Gollum’, 2017, IR171356, hybridized by Brandon W. Erikson, NE.  (K. ‘Bud’s Lady Marmalade’ x K.’Bud’s Arabesque’). Cross made 10.06.2015, planted 01.03.2016, and first flowered 08.14.2016.  Pod fertile, reproducible only vegetatively. Miniature/compact grower, erect stem length 8-10cm. Leaves medium green with dark veining more apparent in younger foliage, 7-9 cm long, 3-4cm wide, with 1 cm petiole, elliptic  with cuneate base, serrate margin and acute tip, bullate, hairy. Calyx split, green, 0.5cm long. Pedicel 2.5cm with 2-4 flowers per axil. Corolla  tubular, subventricose 2.5-3cm long x 1-1.15cm wide, peach/orange, red spots, yellow throat. Highly floriferous hybrid, compact to miniature. Grows well as a mass planting. Produces many small rhizomes per plant, more than normal. Matures quickly.
