Streptocarpus Bandito

Streptocarpus ‘Bandito’. 1999, IR99568, J. Ford, OH. [1997]. (‘Lemon Meringue’ x ‘Purple Tiger’). Plant fertile but reproducible only vegetatively. Rosette, mature in 15 cm (6 in.) pot. Leaves shiny, dark green, 18 cm long x 6 cm wide, elliptic with crenate margin and acute tip. 2-3 flowers per peduncle. Corolla salverform, tube 3.5 cm long, limb 4 cm x 4.25 cm, top lobes light purple with a dark center vein as well as less intense veining, lower lobes deeper in color with deeper veining, white veins in throat.
