Petrocodon ‘GCCC’s Zi Yu Liu Jin’, 2023, IR231975, hybridized by Di-Ya Chen, Rui-feng Li, Fang Wen; Guilin University of Technology; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (P. chongqingensis x P. hechiensis). Cross made 06.09.2021, seeds planted 09.23.2021, first flowering 07.17.2023. Sterile. Basal rosette, stem length 5 cm. Leaves green , veins obvious, thick, fleshy, pubescent both surfaces, 6-14 cm long, 5-11 cm wide, 2-5 cm petiole, ovate with acute tip, cuneate base, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, length ca. 8 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 3 cm, ca. 10 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 6 cm long, 1.5-2.4 cm wide, almost white to dark purple. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
