Petrocodon GCCC’s Xue Yu Liu Bing’,

Petrocodon ‘GCCC’s Xue Yu Liu Bing’, 2023, IR231974, hybridized by Fang Wen; Yi-Gang Wei; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (P. mollifolius  x  P. longitubus). Cross made 06.21.2020, seeds planted 09.30.2020, first flowering 07.10.2022. Sterile. Basal rosette, stem length 0.5-1.0 cm. Leaves green, veins obvious, thick, fleshy, pubescent both surfaces, 6-8 cm long, 4.5-6.8 cm wide, 2-4 cm petiole, ovate to orbicular, with acute tip, cuneate base, entire to crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, length ca. 8 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 3 cm, 10 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 3.5 cm long, 1.5-2.0 cm wide, white. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
