Primulina GCCC’s Zi Yun Ying

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Zi Yun Ying’, 2023, IR231969, registered by Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen, Wei Yi-Gang; Guangxi Institute of Botany, CAS & GCCC, Guilin City, Guangxi, China. (P. wentsaii x P. sinovietnamica). Natural hybrid from the wild. First flowered 10.02.2022. Sterile, reproducible vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves dark green to green, 8-12 cm long, 3-4 cm wide, petiole 4-6 cm, linear with an acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, pale green, 5-8 mm long. Length of the pedicel 3-4 cm, 10 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca.4 cm long, ca.3 cm wide, violet to pale purple. This hybrid prefers bright scattered light, moist, well-drained, calcium-rich soil with limited fertilization.
