Primulina GCCC’s Wen Jin

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Wen Jin’, 2023, IR231964, hybridized by Fu Long-Fei, Wei Yi-Gang, Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen; Guangxi Institute of Botany, CAS & GCCC; Guilin City, Guangxi, China. (P. ronganensis x P. titan). Cross made 04.11.2019. seed planted 09.15.2019, first flowering 05.01.2021. Sterile. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, thick, fleshy, pubescent on both surfaces, 3-5 cm long, 2-4 cm wide, petiole 1.5-2.5 cm long, ovate with an acute tip, cuneate base, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, pale green, 3-5 mm long. Length of pedicel 6-10 mm, 25 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 1.5-2.5 cm long, 0.7-1.5 cm wide, pale purple. This hybrid prefers bright scattered light, moist, well-drained, calcium-rich soil with limited fertilization.
